Karina Zabrodina, member of the ESCOP4Green research group, analyses the case Urgenda Foundation against the Netherlands. This is one of the first climate change cases in which citizens, represented by the foundation, have turned to national judges to claim their "environmental" rights. The success of the case has inspired the activation of several legal proceedings at the European and International level.
