Italgen

Italgen SpA, formally founded in 2001 but with an industrial history rooted in the early '900, is a company active in Italy in the production of energy from 100% renewable sources with 74 MW of capacity currently installed and annual production around 325 GWh. Currently, Italgen is the owner -directly or through subsidiaries- of 28 hydroelectric concessions located in Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto, and manages 3 photovoltaic plants in operation in Lombardy and Puglia (3 others are under construction in Piedmont, Puglia and the Marche with commercial operations in the second and third quarter of 2023). It has a private network of 300 km of power lines between the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia in SEESEU-D configuration. In the development pipeline, there are projects for an additional 45 MW of production capacity, always 100% renewable in Italy, mainly in the photovoltaic and wind sectors. Internationally, Italgen is a minority shareholder since 2010 in a joint venture with Leitner in the management of some wind farms in Bulgaria (18 MW). Italgen is 100% controlled by Italmobiliare SpA, an industrial investment holding listed on the Milan Stock Exchange (STAR segment) since 1980, whose reference partner has always been head of the Pesenti Family.
