The First English Version of the ESCOP4Green Book "Making Production and Consumption Sustainable: A Global Challenge for Legislative Policies. Case Law and Contractual Practices. Guidelines for Changing Markets", edited by L. Ruggeri and K. Zabrodina, SGEM WORLD SCIENCE Vienna, Austria is now online.
Summary of the book: "The climate crisis has had a major impact on policies adopted at national, European and international level, as well as on private initiatives. The inevitable ecological duty is, therefore, destined to permeate every aspect of the socio-legal reality. In line with this evolution, this volume outlines a path aimed at orienting consumers, businesses, public and local authorities towards the necessary eco-sustainable conformation of markets. The work presents the results of the survey conducted by the research group ESCOP4Green (Enhancing Sustainable Consumption and Production for the Green transition) through the development of the questionnaire on sustainability and video-interviews on green practices in the energy and paper sectors. The study proceeds with a reasoned analysis in a systematic and axiological key of the current Italian-European regulatory scenario in the field of ecological and energy transition and with the examination of Italian and foreign application practices, as virtuous examples of sustainable development. The volume also presents a selection of commented climate change cases. Effective protection requires, in fact, active participation, including by the courts, in the process of ecological transition".
